The 糖心Vlog is primarily a place for the promotion of research and the sharing of new ideas. In this spirit, the main series of sponsored events is the Italian Research Seminar, which offers scholars at different stages of their careers a forum to present and discuss their research. The Center's main annual public event, featuring internationally recognized scholars of Italian Studies, is the Ravarino Lecture, named for the Center's principal benefactor.
In advancing its research mission, the Center also coordinates and co-sponsors outreach events and research initiatives with the Devers Family Program in Dante Studies, contributes to and promotes the research and teaching collections of the Hesburgh Libraries and Snite Museum of Art. The Center also maintains a permanent presence at the Rome Global Gateway, where several Italian Studies events are held each year, including events that are the result of our many collaborative projects. Finally, the Center contributes to and administers funding for research on Italian Studies topics by Notre Dame faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates, as well as by scholars from outside of the Univerisity.
